The creative team at pahlCC not only designed a new website for Rad am Bahnhof, but also a completely new corporate design.
A new image and color scheme as well as a matching logo were created. This provided great material for the web design to create an appealing layout. Martin Pahl and I worked together on the technical concept under the hood. The web portal is divided into 2 areas:
- Presentation of the company Rad am Bahnhof,
- Bike and pedelec rental (core of the site - a WooCommerce booking system with highly customized product, shopping cart and checkout pages)
For this project, I opted for a theme substructure that had to be adapted to the design specifications of pahlCC. Divi from Elegant Themes was chosen not least because of the great page builder, which still allows the Rad am Bahnhof team to make content changes themselves.
After a planning and design phase, the Adobe XD layouts to be programmed and all other required content were provided by pahlCC. So now it was time for development! The launch took place in September 2018.
In December 2018, the website was selected for presentation in the monthly customer showcase article on the official blog of the Divi theme development team Elegant Themes.

But that's not all! In 2019, the official Elegant Themes website was given a complete overhaul. Among other things, a new content page was created on which customer projects that were implemented with the Divi theme are permanently presented. The RadspeicheR project was selected from thousands of submissions to be featured in the first row.

Technology
Edit 2022: In the meantime, a software reorganization has taken place in-house so that sales at the checkout, repair orders and bike rental can be processed within one system. As a result, the WooCommerce system for bike rental unfortunately had to make way for the new system. If you are still interested in this WooCommerce solution, please do not hesitate to contact me. I have of course archived this programming work as a presentation project.
